As OKgamers.com forges its 2012 efforts we’ll need Staff Shirts, as well as promotional partners to help make events even bigger!  The biggest 3 known currently follow; all of them are “first come first served” per business type; we do not work with competing partnerships for these offerings.

And remember, with OKgamers’ 501.c3 status, all sponsorships are tax deductible!

OKgamers 6-year Anniversary 2/25 Shirts: Giveaways & 2012 Staff Shirts

We are giving away shirts at our 2/25/12 “6 year Anniversary” event; the front will have a OKgamers unique design, the back a “friends of OKgamers.com” section with 6 slots for partners.

In 2011 we gave shirts away, and used them for our staff shirts – black shirts given away, red shirts for staff; white print on both.  To say they were a success is an understatement; gamers fought over them, strangers stopped gamers to ask who the “friends” / sponsor companies did, etc.  We expanded the slots from 4 to 6 this year as the 6-year event will have PC, tabletop and RPG gaming added to console gaming.

We are offering 6 slots this year at $500 a spot; 2 columns of 3 with each slot measuring 7×4 inches.  Companies may reserve as many spots as they’d like; first come first served for both slots and ‘genre’ of business.  As before, we won’t accept competing businesses; if Pepsi reserves first, Coke cannot, etc.

100% of this money goes to buying shirts to go towards gamers.

WHERE DO THE SHIRTS GO – Gamers and Staff:
Last year we saw 250+ people, with just console games. This year we’ve added Starcraft 2, tabletop and CCG gaming. Attendance could easily reach 500 to 800+ gamers.

Staff shirts also have the partners on the back, and we wear these shirts as our official required OKGamers staff shirts for the entire year. Every event OKgamers staff attend you’ll be at.

HOW MANY EVENTS DO YOU ATTEND:
Gamers – will travel all across the nation in these shirts – we’ve seen them from next door in Arkansas all the way to New York and beyond.  And they don’t just throw away the shirts at the end of the year, we are still seeing 2007 shirts at events.

OKgamers Staff attend 20+ functions a year at least in the Tulsa and OKC areas alone; from midnight launches to 3 day conventions, you’ll get thousands and thousands of impressions.

HOW DO PARTNERS GET PROMOTED AT THE 2/25 EVENT:
We’ll set up a special area for your promotional materials, mention you as sponsors in our press release, forum threads, facebook events, twitter updates, and any radio and TV broadcasts we secure in the following weeks.

WHAT ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA:
OKgamers staffers and gamers will be photoed at every major event; you can literally watch your logo appear on more and more facebook photos, twitter updates, and forum posts over the course of the year. We will also be setting up a “friends of OKgamers” where you’ll be featured.  Where we go, you’ll be for 2012.

For the first time ever, OKgamers will now have console hardware to help facilitate not only our own Promotional Events, but those of other business and gaming groups with which we work. In the past we’ve had to provide a potluck experience; now we start with 16 “lagless monitors” to start our setups for travel in Oklahoma.   Wherever these setups travel, they will go with full “marketing materials”: 2-year branding partners will be on our table runners and 5ft standing signs. They’ll also receive constant mention in event threads, flyers, and other print/written materials. We won’t setup an event without at least 1 month’s notice, so you will always have plenty of time to gather “corporate promotional materials” as well.

$1,000 - 1 Year Sponsor
Online promotion and On-site materials for 1 year, LIMIT 8 sponsors.

• Corporate mention as a sponsor on online promotions.
• Your corporate printed promotional materials (if available) travel with every setup, regardless of location.
• Bronze Level sponsorship at Tokyo in Tulsa 2012. This sponsorship, valued at $1,000, includes either a) Exhibitor Booth during TnT or b) a web page at www.tokyointulsa.com and web banner space at Oklahoma’s largest Japanese Culture and Animation event!

$2,500 – 2 Year Sponsor
Full promotional partner for 2 years, LIMIT 4 sponsors.

$5,000 – Naming Rights
We name the “gameroom in a box” after your company or product for 2 years.  The system now becomes the “Mtn Dew Gameroom” – you are literally mentioned every time we refer to even one setup for 2 years.

• Only 1 Naming Right sponsor per 2 years allowed, we won’t double name this.
• Full logo use on all on-site, online and printed promotional materials (on-site = table runners, etc).

• Platinum Level sponsorship at Tokyo in Tulsa for 2012. This sponsorship, valued at $10,000, includes promotion on shirts, website, mass media and beyond at Oklahoma’s largest Japanese Culture and Animation event. Exhibitor Booth included.

General Event Sponsorship: OKGamers’ 6-year Anniversary & Tokyo in Tulsa’s “HOLD THE LINE”

• OKgamers’ 6-year Anniversary: 2/25/12  will represent the first time OKgamers holds both console, tabletop AND PC LAN gaming at an anniversary event. Last year, with just console fighters, we had OVER 250 gamers in attendance. What will this year hold?!
• - Tokyo in Tulsa’s “HOLD THE LINE”: 7/21/12 will see the first-ever “HOLD THE LINE” event during Tokyo in Tulsa. $4,000 will be placed into gaming and prize pots for popular games like Call of Duty MW3, Super Street Fighter, and Soul Calibur 5! The Challenge: if Oklahoma gamers win 51% of those monies this year, TnT will raise the prize pots even more in 2013!

Both of these events are simply looking for sponsors: from additional funding directly added to prize pots, to services, products and gift cards. We are looking for sponsors to liven up the action and “sweeten the pot”!  As always, we’ll announce sponsors online, at the events, and throughout whatever promotions we receive. You could find yourself on a flyer, a TV broadcast, or getting way more SEO for the month, as OKgamers links back to you for your help improving the local gaming community!!

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG!
Well my fine friends; OKgamers is a non-profit – we charge zero dollars to the businesses we help.  We retain zero dollars for the events we do, aka Promotional Events.   Currently, we take in zero income; so work can come slow for those of trying to hold down jobs plus volunteer for OKg beyond our normal already large commitments!

…Speaking of commitments – have you SEEN what we’ve done in the last few years?

• Maintained well over 20+ events a year that we helped or hosted
• Expanded OKgamers functionality
• Organized and staffed TWO 3 day Convention Gamerooms – at ONCE! (Ahh, August 2008, so crewl!)
• Became an official 501.c3 Non-profit
• Worked with Tokyo in Tulsa to throw some of the biggest bashes Oklahoma has ever seen!
• Promoted volunteering to college kids in Tulsa and OKC
• Expanded OKgamers staffing, and rules
• Held down our jobs

And on and on.  It’s been – quite the journey.

Anyway, as we roll out the new 3.0, well really 3.2 – we will be filling some content as we go along the way.  Why?  Well, we have these BRAND NEW FLIERS – and of course wanted to show them off at our first Promotional Event of the year; Sapulpa would be mad!  So, that deadline meant getting the site revamped, but not being able to fill out all the content needed…
