Tabletop & CCG Gamers / Okc/Yukon Warhammer 40k & fantasy players
« on: April 08, 2010, 01:29:35 pm »
Sup folks,  It's been way too long since I have been to these forums.  Sadly life as a new dad and home owner has left very little time for hobbies and such.  However, I do have a full size warhammer table with terrain now so is anyon in (or passing through) the Okc or Yukon area up to play a few games.

I have about 2k of tyranids, 2k of chaos marines, & 1.5k of space marines.  I'm also working on starting fantasy.  You can P.M. me through the boards or e-mail me at [email protected].

Hopefully we can find enough people to get a strong competitive tournament scene going in Oklahoma.  There are already a couple good shops with things going so you should give them a call too.  New Worlds in Midwest City has a great crowd and a bunch of tables, I can't think of a time when I went there and didn't see someone playing 40k.  Also out in Ada is Treadheadz, I can't say enough about how great the bunch of players is out there.  If your in Okc there is always Games HQ, recently I have seen several people playing 40k there on a regular basis.

Sorry for the late/short post this month folks.  It's been hectic to say the least.  There are still several Warhammer 40k/fantasy events (the 40k rogue trader is on the 19th), Warmachine/Hordes, magic, & spoils events left to compete in.  The new 40k Orcs Codex released this month so it's time to get your WAAAUUGH!!! on.

I hate to do it this way but follow the link for all the tourny info.

If you have any questions give me a shout & I'll toss some answers your way.

Thread Archives / Okc - Tabletop gaming for beginners & up
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:49:15 am »
Hey folks,

I am in the process of organizing a smallish event for gamers of all skill levels to meet up and share their information with others.  This is mostly for the beginning gamer.  Over the next few weeks I am going to try to find some speakers, instructors, a location and anything else that may be needed to get this in the works.  I want it to be a type of hands-on Q & A event where a person can come in ask about a game and have someone there to tell them about it and maybe show them the ropes.

All I require is advice of all kinds from you to get things going.  If there is something people want to see or learn about more than others I need to know about it.  I'll keep everyone posted on the progress of things and hopefully will be able to set a date soon.  I also need a head count on who might be interested in attending such an event, so let me know people.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Thread Archives / Allow myself to introduce....myself.
« on: November 14, 2007, 09:06:59 am »
Hello everyone.

My name is Mike, but some people call me Shaggy.  I'm one of the newest additions to the staff here and thought I should introduce myself properly.  I am not a huge video game player though I do own most of the systems (even a collecovision) and play occasionally.  I suck at Halo and am a passable GH player.  That's not why I'm here though.  I volunteered to help out on the PnP (pen & paper) & tabletop gaming side of things.  I'll be keeping you all up to date on the tournaments and games going on in my corner of Oklahoma.  I'll admit that I am biased on the games I'll be reporting, I play warhammer 40k so currently that's what I can tell you the most about, but if you want to find another game, get a ruling, meet other local players, or whatever just give me a shout and I'll help ya out.

Thank you everyone for giving me the opportunity to help spread the news about what all of us here are into most...GAMES.
