I would think the PC CoD4 would be a better idea, since you could use any control type you prefer without any extra hardware. Just install some software like xpadder and then the 360 players and PC players will both get their preferred control type.

But I don't play CoD, so I'll just leave that up to the people that do.

Brawl 1v1 is what I'd prefer as well. I'd bring a setup or two.

1v1 seems to be more popular, judging by recent tournaments. Joe Mamma's is the first 2v2 tourney I've seen in quite a while.

This weekend I should know what the Registration Cost will be and Pot sizes  And I Will probably move this to the Live thread this weekend as well. I just need some confirmations first before I go ahead. Just want to make sure all my Ducks are in a Row.

Tatsu, are you talking about pitting console players against PC players?

I'm not familiar with xpadder but I'm assuming that it allows like a keyboard/mouse input for use on a gaming console?  In either case, it just wouldn't be fair to force one type of player to game against the other as the PC keyboard/mouse has a tremendous advantage over the gamepad.  I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, but I am saying that for tournament purposes it would definitely not be a level playing field.

I'm also not saying that PC players are superior to console players, it's just a different type of play...although even if I'd never played a game, like say Halo3, give me 15min to map my keys and learn the map and I could probably take out a very good 1v1 console player that was using a gamepad.

In short, we can't mix and match...because if we did, I would participate and take all your lunch money  :-[

It's offiical Plasma Burn will have the tourney jan 17 I will be booking the venue this week. Also stay tuned for Plasma Burn hybrid center.  Cyber cafe, extreme of service center and a 3000sq ft gaming LAN venue all in one building.   We don't have a time just yet. Lots of work ahead of us we are looking rather to build or lease. Right now it looks cheaper to build. My uncle is finacing the whole thing. I will give more details as I get the I'm on my iPhone right now and it's hard to type fast.

Hey if I threw in SCIV?  do you think that would be too much? or the more the better?

So If I went ahead with SCIV  the line up would be

GOW2 4v4
Halo 3 4v4
Halo 3 FFA
SSBB 1v1

Too much? or just right?

5v5 is much better than 4v4. Better more developed strats are needed for 5v5. Its a lot more fun.
