Chaos, the cafe that is discussed in the thread XA posted, does not have computers setup for people to use.

In other words there really isnt anything in Tulsa.

When Cyberzone closed, that was the last one I REALLY knew about.  I heard rumors about ones here and there, and people have planned to launch businesses and even consulted with OKgamers on it - etc...

...however.  To my knowledge, currently yes - nothing in Tulsa.

SO do you guys think there is no market for something like that in Tulsa, or just nobody has been able to execute it the right way.

I don't think anybody has done it the right way in Tulsa yet.

But also Tulsa isn't exactly made for a gaming cyber cafe either.

First off your market audience is a little younger and more likely to not have their own car. Also, they are pretty likely to be broke.

I could see one working if you had some really frequent and awesome tournaments

I have on good authority that:  Tulsa is not a tourist town.

So - we don't get that random dollar from people out of sorts, and needing a resource like that.

You'd be catering to a small group of gamers, housewives, and serving as a makeshift babysitter.  Low to no income, probably past it's time, and a big hassle dealing with the child/parent relationships that can come from that.

If you have a passion for it - that's one thing.  Trying to make your millions?  Doubtful to happen.
