What:

Want more GAMING in Oklahoma, but don’t know what to do?
Are you a leader in the gaming community?
Looking for fellow STEM educators or students?
New to gaming in Oklahoma and looking for info?
Here’s your chance!

COME AND GET RESULTS:  Join the decision makers of gaming in Oklahoma as we gather for a Community Leadership Town Hall styled discussion on gaming in Oklahoma in 2013; organized by OKgamers.com.   We’ll talk about what resources OK has?  A review of what already happened in 2012.  And most importantly:  how can we advance gaming in Oklahoma for 2013, and beyond!

Who:

From Gaming Professionals, Educators, to local Gamers like you – all are welcome to attend!

Why:

Each group has reason to attend!

Gaming Professionals – Gain access to promotional opportunities, popular speaking engagements, and networking with fellow professionals and local gamers.
Gaming Educators – Rare access to future speaking and recruiting engagements as well as educational partnerships with events available.
Local GamersOver $500 worth of Gamestop Gift Cards and Free PC Games being given away, courtesy of our awesome sponsor Big Fish Games!  All sponsored prizes will be given away as door prizes and awarded for participation!   AND?  This is a priceless opportunity to weigh in on or start discussions that will determine the course for gaming in Oklahoma!

Join us to watch or participate; just don’t miss out on this event that will directly affect the course of gaming in Oklahoma for 2013!

EVENT IS FREE BUT SEATING IS LIMITED – First come, first served.

GAMING PROFESSIONAL OR EDUCATOR? Pre-register for a guaranteed seat, and free listing on the event site!  ( Contact us with your info. )

Format?  Inspiration based on a common practice among web devs; for more information, check out Jay Smith’s post.    What this is great at:  Anyone present can voice their concerns via written notes; followed with a vote to see what the group wants to talk about first.  This drives discussions that  local leaders can then follow to make the change we need in Oklahoma.

Why Work Together?
Strength in Numbers, Contacts and Growth!  For example, in Tulsa OKgamers working with Tokyo in Tulsa has led to OKgamers officially working with the Tulsa Chamber’s Visit Tulsa to establish Tulsa as a major player in the eSports community.  We are already working with one international group to bring their PC LAN Finals event to Tulsa.
