Little 80’s Jam

January 6, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Once the dust has settled from your Xmas and new year’s eve gatherings and parties and you find yourself in need of some Pintherapy, look no further.

This tourney will be a quick 4 strike group knockout tourney for IFPA points that will feature 80’s music playing while the tourney goes on.

In accordance with the 2018 IFPA rules, a mandatory $1 entry fee will be collected from each participant in order for this to be an IFPA sanctioned event. The tournament director will send the monies to the IFPA for the National and SCS tourney prize pools.

If this is your very first tournament, we will waive your entry fee and the TD will cover your fee.

Potluck: Feel free to bring a dish, treats, or dessert. After round 2, we will take a break for lunch.

This will be a 4 strike group knockout tourney using the Matchplay software. At the start of the first round, players will be randomly paired into 4 player and 3 player groups and a randomly chosen game will be assigned to each group. The top 2 finishers in a 4 player group will move on without getting a strike and the bottom 2 finishers will get a strike. In a 3 player group, the bottom 2 finishers will get a strike. At the start of round 2, players will be paired using the Swiss format where players with 1 strike will be paired against other players with 1 strike and so on. Play will continue until 1 player remains without 4 strikes.

At the time of the tourney, an alternate tournament director will be named whom will handle any rulings concerning the TD, me, in a game I may be involved in.

Lets start 2018 out with a bang. Hope to see everyone there!
