Hey,

Welcome to OKG!

I voted for the "something else" and my game is Gears of War.

If you need any help or suggestions, let us know so we can help you out!

Throw some Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Stillwater crew will come almost guaranteed.  Oklahoma's smash scene is growing more and more with a recent tulsa tourney bringing in 49 participants and another tourney on the way in early November.  I know that SSBB will be hosted at OU with expected results greater than any brawl tourney thus far.

Smash is a good call, imo. Hope to see it.

That wasn't Joe Mammas, that was Funhouse. But yeah we had 49 ppl.
I'm wanting something similar to a monthly to happen at GP, I'd also like everyone in Oklahoma to try this place out.
The people who work here are freaking epic, along with the HUGE projectors
I think brawl and Halo would be the more likely choices, that and the soon to be RB2 and GH4.
But if you could do a lot more tournaments, then you'd definitely get more business.

SSBB would be the only game I'd actually come out for, tournament wise.

This lock in, however sounds mildly interesting.

None of them would bring me in. Neither is having more games available on the lowest selling console on the market.

Gh4 battle of the bands (full band or even just 2v2 coop tourney) would be cool

Not cool.  :(

If we can confirm the venue is gone, I'll need to pull business status too - so for gamers, and OKgamers, can someone confirm this closing?

Wow these guys have just completely fallen off the map. No open venue, no website, and their not accepting phone calls. I even remember hearing a radio add for gamers paradise at work once, but now I'm pretty sure its safe to say they have gone under.

I can confirm, however late, that they we're out of business as of ~ Wed, Dec. 10.  We distributed PTD there -- although I've not rang the owner up yet regarding my rack.

It's gone. I went by it yesterday. Nothing there, it's a dead, empty building.

Kinda Ironic  That the Oklahoma Gazette here not to long ago had a gamer article that mentioned them, Okgamers.com and PTD.  and then shortly after GP shuts down. :( not good.

Yeah, that article ran a few days after they locked up.  A shame, indeed.  I wish those guys the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Yea not good at all. But in their defense leasing buildings is the problem. It cost to much.

Aint that the truth.  cheapest ive found is $8 a sq foot per year. and thats for a crappy building.  all the decent stuff is $20 sqft per year.  You do the math when you need a couple thousand sqft

I had their cell number. I need to get ahold of the owner so I can speak to her about some things.

After being open for around a month or so, Gamers Paradise has closed.  I didn't even get a chance to go inside =(
