Tournament Planning and Hype / Re: BlazBlue Tourney
« on: August 31, 2009, 11:28:01 pm »
I play BB (still learning) as well as a friend from work.  We'd be down for some tourney action...   Unfortunately Sept 19-20 I have family coming in from Kyoto so it's a no go.  Will keep an eye out on this site for future events though...   My PSN id is JesseBoKe, hit me up!  (warning, I'm pretty terrible still!)

Hello there!  I've heard several times of okgg's lans in Yukon but I've yet to go.  I've posted before on this board but I don't think anyone here knew me, which is kinda surprising.   I too was a regular attendee of OLP and I knew all those people you listed.  I didn't spend too much time at GamersLAN'd but did go to several of their lockins and such.   I also built up and maintained for a couple years the bcubed LAN party series at OU in which we had around 200 participants both PC & console consistently.

I've recently had a throwback to the past when I went to Quakecon and met up with several old friends from the OLP/GML community.  I'm enjoying Quake Live and have really high hopes for where it'll go.

Anyway, the point of my post is, any PC gamers on here if you're looking for a lot of fun Im guessing the Yukon LAN is about the best you're going to get any more.  I haven't been so I'm going to use that to say that the golden days of LANing in this area are gone but it sounds a nugget may still remain, if they played Quake and not just COD! hehe.

Hey all I stumbled upon you guys after reading about the oklahoma games expo.. i never knew such a thing existed..   My (classic) screenname is BladeRunner of -]NK[-   I consider myself an old school gamer as at this point I'm pretty casual about it, mostly playing stuff for fun on my PS3 - however at one point I was very competitive in the LAN scene, but it was all before console lanning was big.   My first LAN experiences were mostly with OLP and then GamersLAN'd was built, spent some time there but mostly just for their events.  After that enjoyed the LANs they hosted as friendlyfire/okgg/etc/etc all the aftermath stuff.   But I guess all that's gone now, and it looks like you guys are the most active gamers around these parts.

But it looks like it's all console, am I wrong?   I'd love to haul my PC down to get some Q3 on like it's supposed to be, but I'm not sure anyone even knows what that is anymore? lol.

Oh, I assume SOMEBODY out there on this site has heard of/attended the bcubed series of LAN parties at OU - I was the guy behind all of those, so maybe you know me from there.

Anyway hi2u guys and keep up the good work.

Hey all, I was considering entering the SF4 tourney but I realized because it's not mentioned it's almost definitely Xbox only?  Is that the general rule around here?
