Hello All,
I'm Professor Akram Taghavi-Burris from the Oklahoma City Community College. Not only am I program director of our Video Game Design program I am also faculty sponsor of our student organization the Computer Arts and Technology Society (CATSociety). The students in our CATSociety are putting together the Oklahoma Electronic Game Expo (OEGE) coming this April. This will be our second annual OEGE and the students really want to expand from last years event. Last year despite the fact that there were only 5 vendors we had over 100 attend and had a short clip of the expo on the 6pm news that evening.
Oklahoma Electronic Game Expo is a day of video-game revelry. Our 2009 Expo will mark our second annual gaming destination in Oklahoma- where gamers and industry insiders can come together to celebrate video-games.
Attendees come to OEGE to experience the newest games, encounter game industry legends, compete in tournaments, buy games, and meet with friends.
In efforts to make this years event bigger and better, we'd like to set up a steering committee to help the students plan the event. The committee would help with getting vendors, advertising, sponsoring and just letting people know about this event. If any of you would like to be on our committee please email me at:
