MLG Season
« on: December 29, 2010, 07:44:04 pm »
Okay, so I know this has been done before and I am not sure if it is still going on, but for 2011 we should try to start the season thing again. I am talking mainly about Halo: Reach. We could have five or six "events" with a championship at the end. Any thoughts on this? Let me know if it is still going on like it was before.

Well, since HxC is helping out with the TCC 3/26 event we are still planning, it seems it'll be added into HxC's point system...

...may I point out that TnT is July 15-17th, and with HxC helping us with hardware, I'm sure we'll be obliged to have it added as another official HxC point event...

..let us know on that, so we can alert the TnT game masters, set plans, etc.

Yes.... we will do so and I'm really pushing you guys to use our point system for ALL events but we gotta talk first.  Of course. The TCC and TnT event will bring more casual shooter gamers anyway dont you think?

Casual:

TCC - It can.   Kinda depends on the level of freebies / giveaways we get.

TnT - I don't think a lot of local gamers GET what OKgamers DOES with TnT.  Tokyo in Tulsa runs like an anime convention+ - and way above the level it is.  If you didn't know better - you'd think it was a 15k attendance event - it's well ran, thought out, and PLENTY to do.  When it comes to gaming - OKgamers working with them means some of the best gaming Oklahoma SEES all year long - and some of the best sponsors, events, excitement, etc.  It's a hidden gem right now, we'll see what happens in 6 months...

Can I  be directed to the TnT 2011 thread plz?

Also MLG is gonna make me double vomit this year, they add MvC3 or something exciting, we almost got Brawl back in and Melee got a surprising number of votes but no cigar *blah*

So MLG picked up MvC3?

As for TnT - no thread yet - www.tokyointulsa.com exists, and as we get closer, I'm sure Monster Man will get a thread up, etc...

...it's a yearly event, a powerhouse for Tulsa and the Oklahoma area for Anime, JP culture, and well, just about all things Gaming too with us working with them...  So we plan WAY ahead :)  (read: year round lol)

We'll go with whatever is popular - hopefully yes, MvC :)  AND MAYBE SOUL CALIBUR!?  YES?  lol

Our official list will go out 6/1 - I'll make sure Monster Man gets you a earlier copy though.
