some parents are just fine letting there kids play h3 so why would you need realease forms
Because we don't want to be held responsible for the actions of kids at the venue. . We're gamers, not babysitters man, and the last thing I want to deal with is angry parents because their kid did something stupid and we weren't able to watch him closely enough. That's not a statement about any one person in particular, but I'm sure we all understand what can happen when you get 20 15 year olds(or younger) in the same place at the same time.
Children can't be held responsible for their actions if they break/steal something for example. To make sure that that doesn't come back and bite us in the bum(and end the monthly tournaments permanently) we want to make sure we do everything we can to protect ourselves. So it's not just the M rating but the fact that the entire setting is likely to be "M" rated.
Only part of the building is non smoking also, and that part is reserved for the tournament so we can't crowd everyone in there, and we're not about to take responsibility if some kids mom catches him smoking a cigarette that someone there gave him. In other words there are a lot of responsibilites that come along with allowing that crowd in, and it's not something to be taken lightly.
