The parts chosen above were ordered and assembled February of 2009. They were cheap at the time and I needed something I could game with NOW, instead of waiting and saving. I have an upgrade path in mind, but will not be able to start funding that until we move out of the apartment we live in right now (hopefully around December, just in time for that big fat tax return!)
So, yeah, it's kindof low-end, but it plays nicely. When I played WoW, I would regularly get 30 to 40fps, even in combat. Crysis on medium benchmarked only around 20fps and got worse during a firefight, but on low it was playable at 30ish fps (just ugly). I play TF2 with it on max settings with no problem and high fps. Fallout 3 on high again around 30 to 40 fps.
Of course, if someone's got an old GeForce 9800 or better and want to sell it on the cheap just to get it out of their house, I'm willing to talk... ;-)
(Or their old LGA775 Core2Quad they don't want anymore hehe)
