HALO - for pete's sake - you can ORGANIZE WHATEVER BYOC DATE AND TIME you want - just work with us and start interest here and now.  Consult their "panel schedule" to get what times are what -

http://tokyointulsa.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/panel-schedule-09.pdf

and when a good time would be - and DO IT.  Just because we SET ASIDE a time on Sunday doesn't mean we can't throw another event.  We don't want you to bring your hardware out for potentially 3 days and only have one tournament - come on!

--

EASIEST WAY TO GET TO CONVENTION CENTER:

Take the BA / Hwy 51 to exit at 11th and Houston. Take a right to continue down Houston to get to the 7th area.  If your using my directions below, pass 7th, and take a right onto 4th, and then another right into the area pictured below:

CONVENTION CENTER - there is a road to the right off 4th:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=convention+center&sll=36.148713,-95.996422&sspn=0.002911,0.008057&ie=UTF8&radius=0.22&rq=1&layer=c&cbll=36.150578,-95.996502&panoid=L-Pem8YKV8-57g02X31oLA&cbp=11,202.13,,0,-11.33&ll=36.150576,-95.996497&spn=0.002911,0.008057&z=17

It's not on the map - which is great lol.  HOWEVER - it's real, and a 1 way road.  See the LARGE building in the photo?  That's where you are going / driving along.  As you drive next to it, you can stop under a walkway to unload into the building.

This is the view from the WRONG WAY, facing in:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=convention+center&sll=36.148713,-95.996422&sspn=0.002911,0.008057&ie=UTF8&radius=0.22&rq=1&layer=c&cbll=36.148388,-95.995654&panoid=KtdVk50RBVH8kUNc0_HxXw&cbp=11,333.4,,1,-0.71&ll=36.148384,-95.995649&spn=0.002911,0.008057&z=17

As you can see there is a overpass you can stop at and unload.

There is also toll parking there that is free after 5 or 6pm on Fridays, and free over the weekend, HOWEVER we've known American parking to swoop in there and try and charge, so the earlier you get there, the easier it can be.

Bringing in hardware - you can take straight in there, down the hallway, and we are on the left, where Minicon / Defcon was in the Conference Hall, right off the main Hallway.

--

THE ENTRANCE OFF 7th IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION:
So you have to use the east enterance like I've been outlining, or use the Sky Bridge from the Double Tree, accessable
from level 2.  HOWEVER - the Sky Bridge has a narrow exit at the end, so if your wearing a Gundam outfit, you might want to take the east enterance :)

--

PARKING?

DoubleTree = 7$....  IF the guy is there.  (he's had a tendancy to not be.)

Off the East Exit there is parking that is Toll based, but American sometimes swings in there and charges.

Any street toll based parking is free after 5 or 6pm on Friday however, and over the weekend is free.

--

COST:

Not interested in the Cosplay / non-gaming aspect of the convention?

An OKgamers.com EXCLUSIVE - there is a 10$ Gamer Day Pass you can ask for.  It only gets you access to the Gaming and the LARP for the day purchased - but this is a deal worked out for OKgamers forum members - so if your JUST going for that day's gaming - you can get that!

Change your mind?  You can upgrade the pass to a normal 1 day or 3 day pass.  Obviously, the 3 day pass is the best deal for everything.

SEE YOU TOMORROW!

I wanted to make those who would be interested in table top gaming aware that Salamander Games will be providing game demonstrations of our premier board game, Summonaria, on Saturday the 11th in the gaming area at the event!

We are an Oklahoma based game publisher and hope to meet lots of Oklahoma gamers who like board and card games and show you what we have got going on.  We will be collecting names of those who participate in the demonstrations and will be drawing for at least one free copy of Summonaria at the end of the demo time.

Hope to see you there!
