I also quit because of MK.

Its not that he can't be beaten its that hes too good in comparison to the rest of the cast. If  the MK player wants to win, all he has to do is play more campy and gay than his opponent and he has all the tools to win the match. Stage and opposing character are completely irrelevant and only change just how much the match is in his favor.

Personally I think we should switch to just 3 starter stages:

Starters:

Battlefield
FD
Smashville

Of the possible neutral and neutral counterpicks (as defined by SBR rules) those are probably the most fair. Yoshi's would also work, but then you would have to include a 5th stage to keep it odd, and there isn't a good 5th to add (Pokemon Stadium 1 is NOT neutral).

Counter pick stages:

Castle Siege
Halberd
Lylat Cruise
Pokémon Stadium 1
Brinstar
Delfino
Frigate Orpheon
Jungle Japes
Pictochat
Pirate Ship
Pokémon Stadium 2
Rainbow Cruise

Some of these are up for debate, the others however are not viable for various reasons (Most commonly static, permanent walls or walk offs, and/or completely random game changing level hazards).

Ledge Grabs need to be limited to 50 which works out to 1 grab every 9.6 seconds. No normal game (read as, one where one player is not planking) should really exceed that limit.

Scrooging (Defined as passing back and forth beneath the stage in order to avoid contact with the enemy) should be limited to at most 2 passes, after which you must make contact with your opponent. This rule however is much more difficult to enforce than the ledge grab limit because there is no stat in the after game breakdown to check, method of enforcement is something that should be considered before you implement this rule.

The rest of the rules should be SBR standard.

I don't particularly see a reason to increase tournament fees unless OK Gamers needs to more to cover their own expenses. Winners are already making plenty off a few hours of "work". Larger tournaments (2-3 day affairs) could make a case for larger entry fees, but for one shot deals I think we are fine where we are.

Its worth a pickup Saif. Its pretty long though not sure you'll be able to beat it if you rent it. Hub based questing sums up your reason for going out and killing random things in the world. Boss fights are pretty neat, the entire game is ridiculously addicting. The one gripe I did have was that when I played it on split screen co-op the menu's are still sized for solo-play, although apparently you can scroll around them with the analogue stick it still seemed like something they should have fixed in an RPG where the menu is a big part of the game. On the plus side though the game scales very well to multiple players and maintains its difficulty curve.

All in all I've been playing alot of it since Tues and I like it very much.
