Man.  FPS is dead in Tulsa.

Anyway - I've tried a H1 tournament back when H2 was still VERY popular - and no one - and I 'mean NO ONE - showed up.  So I'm afraid it'd still fall under the '30 people' rule.  Which come on - 60 people can show up for a SSBB tourny - and you shooters can't even get more than 10 votes?!    More aless 30, oh well, I guess we'll go with SC4 then.  Kinda crazy.  You'll all have your shot next month, as I am not going to ask Joe Momma's to keep SC4 solid when we've already got a monthly dedicated to it.

SC4 = go = yea.

FPS are harder to have tournaments with because its more team, unless its FFA. But SC and SSBB you can just be really good at it yourself.

I think it's much more the advent of online play, and the lazyness of the group :)

Anyway, H2 people used to get tournaments together all the time, and down in OKC HxC has been having successful FPS tournaments - I can only assume the Tulsa community has decided to simply not care, or OKgamers hasn't gotten into the current circles for the Tulsa FPS community.

It seems like Tulsa has definetly moved towards SC4 and SSBB

In focus, so it seems, but definitely not the specific players.  The FPS players didn't convert to SSBB or SC4, that'd be a move in that sense, it's more of a die out or divide of the scene imo.  The SC and SSB community has always been strong in this area, and those players aren't shooters for the majority.

The FPS crowd either moved on to play other FPS's splitting their power, stopped playing games actively, or only play online, etc.

2?  I mean come on, really? GGXX has like 10 people in the state, if that lol.  For all the love the FPS'ers supposidly have for their games, to be remotely close with a low level fighting game in this area like GGXX is just sad.  SAD I SAY!

SSBB 1v1
SSBB 2v2
Soul Calibur 4
GGXX
Tekken 5
DOA 4
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
Virtua Fighter 5
Dragon Ball Z - Burst Limit

That's what I voted for, and i'd join all of them too if they all happened.
