I only see MK/Snake and maybe Link...but Link can't reach any edge anyway... getting gimped on Lylat, really. Besides...PS1 has a wall where characters can lock with tilts and chaingrabs. I'm not sure why there is much consideration being given to PS1.

On lylat? fox, falco, wolf, marth to name a few.  and the chaingrab thing isn't true to me, the only tilt game that it will benefit is snakes, maybe warios and zeldas.

...and MK's dtilt...and Rob's and G&W's etc etc. Not tilt game but Locking an opponent against a wall or a tree as the case may be. and of course the chaingrabs against a wall.

The only thing Lylat has is a tilting stage...that doesn't tilt very fast. Against all the disadvantages brought on by PS1.

tilts fast enough to screw up most of the characters aiming for a sweet spot.  if the switch was good enough for whobo, why isn't it good enough here?

If Whobo did it - I'd be fine with it, but we need a concensus, and we need it by Sunday please.  Any debates longer than that, and we're startin to ruin our timeline at that point.

At the same time - I can see Lylat > PS.  So - heh - have fun guys, let's get some agreement?

Pokemon Stadium 1 is a neutral in almost, if not all, of Texas. It's also going to be a neutral at EVO 09' (Genesis is only going to have FD, BF, and SV as neutrals).

Almost no one puts Lylat as a neutral anymore, for reasons stated earlier.

STARTER:
Battefield
Final D
Smashville
Yoshi's Island
POKEMON STADIUM 1 (in replace of formerly lylat)

COUNTER STAGES:
Frigate Orpheon
Jungle Japes
Rainbow Cruise
Lylat Cruise
Pokémon Stadium 2
Norfair
Pictochat
Pirate Ship
Brinstar
Castle Siege
Delfino
Halberd

SF4 - most of your guys stuff is additions, but still, you too guys.  Need to know.

SSBB - while I don't personally agree with it (PK = horrible horrible "STOP PLAYING" it's so bad transitions, while Lylat just tilts, geez...)  If that's what the majority wants - that's what we are going with.

SF4 - I'll add what I've mentioned before, and finalize it.

To be honest...PS1 and Lylat would probably be striked out first anyway, but at least I won the argument. :)

Good luck in the tournament, guys.

Yea - this thread is ONLY good for SC4 currently.

SSBB will be updated once the 2.0 conversation is finished / THIS SUNDAY - which ever comes first...

...I'm hoping the local SSBB community will get their debates done by then, because I'm goin to finalize Sunday one way or another - need to allow AT LEAST A WEEK for learning and printing of new rules, etc - for TCC event.

SSBB - thoughts about the version / edits to rules by MCG?  Adoption / considerations?

The MGC rules are pretty good, especially if we follow them correctly.

By double elimination, MGC means best 2/3.  Its really single elimination.  I got knocked out first round.

dont quite know who told you that, but it isn't 100% accurate.

If you can imagine how big texas is.  Only one city, in particular one tournament in that one city is banning MK.  To me it seems like a personal problem though because there are only 2 of them in TX, neither of them living in that one city.

Infact that is kind of the situation in this state.  There are only 2 people that come to mind who main MK.  Neither of which hit top 5 in our PR's.  but that could change.
