Were you the guy I talked to that did Historical Miniatures? If so - I guess a lot of these questions are already answered hahah.
Hey Yall, A lot of people are urging me to run an all gaming con in the OKC metro in 2012. Let me know what you think and what you would like to see run.
Jonathan Keepers.
Sounds like you've ran events lately - what was the event, and what's your experience?
What business / group do you represent?
What gaming genre's are you focusing on?
What game groups would you focus on?
What is your goals as far as attendance?
Where would you get your hardware?
What would be your reward for volunteers / TO's / etc?
What are some of your initial sponsors?
What would the ideal range for door cost be?
Game Cons - have come up to me several times lately - and I'm always hesitant. Gamers barely show up to some of the local non-game centered but game supporting events - why would they show up any more to a game only event? Sure with it being only games - that might be clear enough to get attention? But - ultimately - what will you do to overcome the established hurdles?
Not trying to be mean, or rude - just curious on how these thoughts have been addressed, if they've been addressed, etc. Also, if you would want any help from OKg - we are in the process of putting together a requirements form, and well, this would help you answer some of that if you were to want that help, etc.
X APS - and if you are the guy I talked to - I know a bit - but not enough hahah.
