Snap, played MvC at a buddy's for like 4 hours this afternoon. I'll try and make it next time if you keep it up.

2
I'll be there with a team. The other three likely won't post here, so I'm holding a spot for em.

Could I get an OKC pass man? Thanks!

I tried using twitter but I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing over there.  ;) Appreciate it!

General Chat / Missing controller/charge cord
« on: April 24, 2009, 12:30:07 pm »
At the last Funhouse SF4 tournament one of my DualShock 3s (with a Snorlax sticker on the back) walked away, along with a USB charge cord (the only one I had.. so sad). Anybody seen them? I thought maybe they just accidentally ended up going home with someone else's PS3 stuff on accident. It would be totally awesome if anyone knows anything about their whereabouts.

5
Yeah it's not a problem. It only takes a minute or two per setup, unless the people playing don't use that console and are totally lost. ^__^

6
I know quite a few DH players in OKC who are looking for games. Too bad it's ridiculously inconvenient to have a weekly game with a driving distance of 90 miles...

7
Also, I totally would have gone were it not the night before the game in Jenks. I'm from around OKC, so I've (as well as all my buddies I can drag along) got to pick one hour-long drive to make during a single weekend. ^__^

PS3 - yea, we are going to be using that as the standard, but how do we take care of wireless controllers?!@

DOUBLE KO - now what?

Character selection - winner stays?  Doesn't have to?

X A

PS3 Controllers - When swappping out wireless controllers from one console to another, the easiest way is to plug in your usb cord, which will automatically move it from one console to another. I really apologize if I screwed up that match on station 8! It was pretty funny though. ^__^

Double KO - Keep playing as if that match never took place?

Character selection - I don't think that's really an issue... I think people should probably be able to switch characters whenever in between matches they want. If they want the extra challenge of switching characters, power to em. Some characters DO have match-ups that work better than others, but it's not a fight-defining difference (if you're a good, versatile player... unlike me, who can't handle turtling Guiles/Hondas/Blankas). And hey, that's life.

I still have not faced lonewolf.

Everytime I play at these tourneys I end up playing Troy and that guy is my kryptonite(hes my roommate who I can never beat)

Did pretty good considering I play

Street Fighter once a week(tops)
Super smash bros(once every....never)

Maybe you should, I dunno Kelley, practice? ^__^

I've seen you at a couple games and I think you'll do a lot better if you play just 30 minutes a night or so. I try to get that in myself, but it rarely happens. Whenever I'm practicing (and hopped up on caffiene) I always perform much better live.

I had no intention of starting a serious debate or potential flamewar. Just poking a little fun and standing up for my console.  ;)

I can't get on facebook, but I'm Joseph Hodgson. I don't think there are very many of me in OKC. ^__^

PS3 - Japanese (where competitive gaming is often fighters)
360 - American (where competitive gaming is often fps)
Street Fighter (a fighter) = Japanese

PS3 - Nice, smooth D-Pad (for those playing on a controller), with quick-response, smooth buttons
360 - D-Pad is a clunky web in an awkward position with bubble buttons that never depress quickly enough and sometimes get stuck

PS3 - Ability to install the game greatly decreases all load times
360 - Have fun waiting

PS3 - Holding the PS button allows players to quickly assign controller slots at any point in-game
360 - I hope you don't mind resetting and unplugging things to make it happy

PS3 - Solid piece of hardware with built in durable Blu-Ray drive
360 - Red Ring of Death, overheating, shaped like a maxi-pad

PS3 - Free online, a Blue Tooth headset is all you need
360 - Make sure you have a version with a HDD, then pay a hundred bucks a year to listen to ignorant racist 12 year olds scream profanities when you annihilate their Ken, and use a flimsy XBox brand headset that for some reason has to be plugged into a controller, making it a pain in the butt for stick modders

PS3 - Supported by EVO. And real tournaments. Duh. It's what all the cool kids play on.
360 - Supported by Gamestop tournaments, where you're not allowed unlockables or a usable controller

PS3 - 7
360 - 0
Your move, Microsoft. ^__^

-----------

But in all fairness, 360 has much better software/game support and online is kept up a little better (but not enough to warrant the price imo). Just kidding around. 360 is a great console. But not to play SF4 tournaments on.

Who all plays in OKC? It seems like a good portion of the crowd is from Tulsa, which kinda sucks to drive to. ^__^

I would be happy to get one in OKC. So sad.

I had no idea there was a D&B in Tulsa! Wow, might go Sunday ^__^.
