DATE - unknown, I'll assume around the second Saturday or so of the month of December - might get skipped to Jan depending on stuff, we'll see and be accurate on reports before posting an actual thread.
2 games or 1? If a FPS wins, probably 1. If a fighter, probably 2, simply because we have plenty of space.
Joe Momma's downtown location is opening up in November! As a result, they now are hosting Monthly events! What game? Well that's up to you guys via the poll above! We may extend the poll if the date pushes back into Jan, but for now - 2 weeks, 3 votes, only vote for what you'd come to!
While they are open to H3 or another FPS reoccuring, I've stated that numbers have been too low on hardware responses for me to feel comfortable doing that without
healthy poll results; so we'll just go with whatever else wins each month, etc if H3 or a FPS get's low hardware response.
Like all tournaments OKgamers organizes for gaming communities - we'll need hardware. Fighting games need at least 3 to 4 setups, shooters need a minimum of 8, GH3 at least 4, etc. While the poll will probably be the final word, hardware postings will help sway things.
HALO/FPS PLAYERS - what's healthy? 30+ votes for the winning type, and at least 8 to 16 people saying they can bring hardware - as in full setups. If Halo anything wins with 20 votes, and the next one has 18, we'll go with the next one. Simply put - all FPS's have had low results in Tulsa, so I don't want to organize an event and have the low hardware affect another event.
SSBB / SC4 - the monthlies at FH won't be going away - so you've already got your game showing up. However - you want another? We'd do it if you can win the poll!
Please - only vote for games you'd come to for a tournament! And, if you have a setup you can bring, let us know!
For games to be added, they need 3 recommendations on this thread.
Yes - this will be a volunteering opportunity, and I'll be putting it up on Volunteer Central!
In the end? Vote, you've got 2 weeks. FPS's - in the Tulsa area after H3 came out, getting hardware has always been a problem. I was the one to suggest your game for consideration, but once again, we've got to have enough hardware to support the tournament. Even if a game is voted in and has plenty of promises of hardware - if we don't have enough hardware actually show up, we'll change the format - say 4v4 to 2v2, etc.
