You really have a knack for taking the posts off topic.  Though, I haven't had any interest in WoW in a year or more so go nuts.

I definetly appreciate your honesty, and I think you may be smarter than the average bear here in oklahoma. I'm curious to know your IQ, not that it really matters much around here.

I heard PS3 is talking seriously about a premium membership, which means they may start charging :(

If this is not the game of the year I will be shocked.  Riding along trails on your trusty steed into the sunset, camping out under the stars, bounty hunting, hunting, gathering plants, and on top of that, missions!  There is always something to do in this world!  The graphics are spectacular, the scenery and draw distance is rich and beautiful, the charecters and voice acting are superb. Basically, I'm loving this game.  Anyone else played so far?  I have yet to try the multiplayer being so absorbed into the single player, but if any of you have it we should try it out.  Free roam mode sounds cool, basically you and your friends can run around the world as a gang completing missions.

man, I'd probably get my butt kicked at ps3 tekken...Is there anyone that would play on the xbox if I brought one?  Is there any point or should I just try my best at ps3?

First Person Shooters / Re: Who's playing the Halo Reach Beta?

Sure, I'm usually on in the evenings.  We'll get a party going to minimize the noise from the little kids :)

Will there be ANY 360s there for Tekken 6?

First Person Shooters / Who's playing the Halo Reach Beta?

I've played it almost since it became available, and I have to say, I'm impressed.  The players are still as horrible as ever; high pitched screeching from 13 year olds, constant trash talking, or my favorite, no mic at all.  Players aside I haven't played Halo in about two years, I was severely burnt out.  Reach just might make me a halo player again, just gotta have the right party to play with.  What do you guys think about it?

General Chat / Re: LED-LCD or Plasma?
« on: April 27, 2010, 05:18:39 pm »
120hz LED-LCD (especially locally dimmed) are the best reasonably priced monitors you can get now. You have chosen a plasma screen due to your personal preference for a LACK of clarity. You are complaining about aliasing or other "jaggy" elements of video games...well those are actually part of the game, if you choose a TV that "softens" that effect, you are essentially losing visual information.

You are correct, I prefer a smoother picture doing fast action scenes or moments in video games and blu-rays over jerky and pixelated, pretty sure I have some backing in that department.  Also, don't know too many programmers but I have to assume they want the best experience possible for gamers at heart.

I also think that LED-LCDs are currently on par with the black levels of plasmas, maybe better in some respects of contrast and color.

Blacks imo were definetely better on the LED ( I mentioned that in the OP).  Contrast is debatable.

At this point, anyone looking to buy a TV should probably get something on the cheap, a last gen 60hz LCD television without LED backlight should hold you over until 3D tvs begin to hit the market, which is what you will really want.

3D Technology is brand spankin' new.  There is ZERO content for it and will likely be a couple of years before there is a decent amount.  By that time new technology will be here as well.  I'd say wait on 3D tvs, but in the end it's your money, and your decision.

And of course, these are all OPINIONS and I am by no means a qualified reviewer, I was just giving my story in the hopes it helps someone looking for a new television :)

Tournament Planning and Hype / Re: Permanent Tournament For Oklahoma

As for the tournament, if you can produce a turnout, I'd be happy to help you with it, as long as the location isn't too far from edmond/OKC
