Where: Oklahoma City Community College
What : Oklahoma Electronic Game Expo (OEGE)
When: April 11,2009

Oklahoma Electronic Game Expo (OEGE) is a day of video-game revelry. Our 2009 Expo will mark our second annual gaming destination in Oklahoma- where gamers and industry insiders can come together to celebrate video-games.

Attendees come to OEGE to experience the newest games, encounter game enthusiast, compete in tournaments, buy games, and meet with friends.

Admission is free and open to the public. Entry fee will be required for competing in the game tournament. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is made possible by the hard working students that make up the Computer Arts and Technology Society [CATSociet], a student organization of Oklahoma City Community College. These students work endless to promote, network and organize this event.  Also big thanks to our steering committee.

Hey how long do you think a SSBB tournament takes? if there is 32 people about 3 to 4 hours right? Well that might be for double elimination. Single should take 2 right?

32 people on 6 setups can easily go 3 hours or so.  32 people single elim is like an hour or so at best.

Also - is this the event you were needing me to speak at?  Do you guys need panel topics, etc?

HxC is going to pay for 4 gamers entry fee for the Street Fighter 4 tournament and 4 for the Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament. Whats the catch? I need for gamers to bring their Wii consoles and SSBB. HxC has some but they dont have the correct characters or the time to unlock them. SO! Bring a Wii and SSBB and ill cover your entry fee. Same for Street Fighter 4, HxC has 4 copies but I figured I would show some love for okgamers. SO! Bring a copy of SF 4 and HxC will cover your entry fee. Saif has first dibbs on this of course.  8)

Is there any kind of pre-registration for the tournaments, or is it just show up at 10 and sign up then? I haven't been able to find any info one way or the other, sorry if I overlooked something!

I believe registration is at 12 the day of the tournament. What are you participating in?

Definitely SSBB, possibly SFIV if I'm comfortable with my game by the 11th.

Soooo... is 12pm registration the final word? Just want to make sure I don't miss out!

So am I reading correctly, $1.00 entry fees?!?!?!?! All about helping out some charity, but can't we do more? Most tourney entries range from $5-$50.
