While we've not talked about OKgamers helping with their 5th year in what their pattern shows to be early 2013, I'd assume yes - it'll happen again!

If you are interested in conventions, make sure to check out www.tokyointulsa.com

Also, keep your attentions on the OKgamers.com front page; we've got as many as 2 potential conventions to add to the Promotional Events list in the next 9 months...

There will always be gamers that care about the cash; don't mistake a tournament series keeping a game series alive via cash infusions vs actual community level appreciation for a game.

That said - any game getting love is better than no FG's getting love :)

I know this is a few months old but is this the same guy who was supposed to dominate everyone at OKGamers 6th Anniversary?

He never said he was coming; he talked 20+ posts of trash talk that ended about the time we made it clear "Hey - we have a tournament 2 hours away - come prove it."

He's lurked a few weeks after his posts stopped, and as far as logging in wise, hasn't been back since.

--

I'd like to hope he's hooked up with the OKC crowd, maybe some GFLO types, etc...  Problem is personally I'm not in the OKC loop tight enough to track someone like him joining, and haven't heard anything about him beyond what he's posted.

Still happening.  If you are looking for SSF, etc - double check the forum for a Tulsa gathering for that too!  We've got 2 to 3 Fighting Gaming nights a week now; both this Thursday Night SC5 / etc and the Friday Night Fights are still going strong.  FNFs' seems just about willing to play just about anything new as well!
