I've got events going every 2-3 weeks roughly... so if you miss this one, there'll be other events to come. I still want to do a best of cities around the KS, OK, MO, AR, NE, IA, CO state areas and put them in a tournament also. I have Stillwater into it and Kansas City contacted well I just want to get people together to talk about the ideas on my forums at www.ICTGaming.com

Ok so how are you doing this tournament? Is it on LAN or are you going to have an available Xbox Live connection? Because you cant customize your character on LAN, it strictly gives you 12 default choices.

I do everything LAN at the moment, I've looked into some online tournaments if enough interest rises.

And we're doing the default setups for competition, it's the only way to really ensure a level playing ground for all participants (some people haven't played as much as others and may not have access to say a Barrett or P90 etc or certain perks etc.) I know that some of the hardcore players would rather use higher end weapons but everyone has to be put into consideration for this.

FYI this is what I mean by basic...

the following 10 are the classes available on LAN (excuse my abbreviations I think everyone knows them though)

*Grenadier – M16 with 203 / m9 – Stopping power Martyrdom Frag/Flash
Ghost – MP5/USP .45 silenced – Bomb Squad, UAV Jam, Dead Silence, Frag/Smoke
Survivalist – m60/DE –Grip, Juggernaut, Last Stand Frag/Stun
*Pointman – W1200 red dot/1911 -  Fragx3 Double tap, steady aim flash grenade
Marksman – R700/M9silenced – claymore, UAV Jam, Iron Lungs, Frag/stun
Warfighter – G36/G3 – Bandolier, overkill, Extreme Conditioning frag/smoke
Close Quarters – P90 red dot/M9 – Flash x3, Stopping power, last stand frag x1
*Overwatch – 249 acog/DE – RPG x2, Sleight of Hand,Deep impact frag/stun
Defender – M1014/USP – C4, Sonic Boom, Martyrdom Frag/Stun
Sharpshooter – M21/1911 Silenced – Bandolier, Stopping Power, Deep impact frag/flash

I'm torn between doing 2 things though but weighing more to one....

1. Restrict the classes marked with an asterisk (*) to each side having ONE only to prevent a team spam of explosions (they only get 2 extra booms anyway) (leaning more toward this)

2. Remove all perks and make the Grenadier class taboo since you cannot remove weapon attachments with that option (don't really like this option as much because it takes too many things out and enough is out already to balance the playing field)

in the Free for all however all classes marked with an asterisk will not be allowed
