General Chat / Not Downtown.

If it were the only thing similar available I would go. Reluctantly, if it were Downtown, but I would go.

The D&B in Tulsa was a huge disappointment. It was extremely crowded and most of the people there must have thought they were at the club. I like half dressed girls as much as the next heterosexual male, but some of these girls were just ridiculous. Especially considering I was out with my family. For an arcade, there was not a single "classic" that I could see on the floor. If you like ticket games and a very limited selection of contemporary arcade games then by all means, its a great place.

Oh, and lets not forget the overpriced food and drinks. I'll definitely go back, but it'll be on a double points night.

The prospect of a Gamers Bar is something I've considered a few times. If I had the money and a decent location, I'd be all over it. I think a place like that needs to cater to a certain crowd. You cant have your nerds and your typical bar going frat boy types intermingling.

I preordered this on Amazon back in January, still wont get it till Cinco de Mayo, but I can wait. I like free shipping and I hate sales tax.

I know some of you have been without power and cable and whatnot, but try if you can to show some appreciation for the service people out there working. I work for Cox as a Line Tech and alot of the trouble we're having is with a lack of power to make the cable work. All those generators you see out there chained to poles are to make the cable work, so dont steal them. (Seriously, dont steal them!  ) Some people are appreciative (I think most think I'm working on power) but some can be downright rude assholes who dont seem to realise that even though it only lasted a few days, it was some of the worst weather we've ever seen.  Try to understand that just because you have power, people down the street might not.

Especially the utility workers, most of which are from out of town, away from their families and likely wont be home in time for Christmas. Of the ones I've talked to that are from as far away a North Virginia. We (Cox) even have some guys up from Louisianna helping repair downed lines. These guys are working hard to get everyones power back on so please, if you or anyone you know is still without power, try to be patient and understand that this is a unique situation.

Thanks, and don't go hugging any cable guys or utility workers. Its just wierd when that happens. A handshake will do.

Trouble is all the games coming out at the same time. I'm sure when releases start slowing down, everyone will start picking up these older multiplayer titles. Not like there are a plethora of really good multiplayer games out there. The internet has ADD afterall.

A guy I work with does some pretty mean video editing. He did a really good video for a work related "fun day" that turned out really well. I'll try to post it some where if I can. He's not really a gamer, but he and I have talked about working on a lot of things together so I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing some editing.

Also, I could possibly make myself available for any kind of Tulsa area events. I should be getting a new cam some time soon.

I like Guitar Hero, but not that much.

I feel like if you've gotten that good at it, you need to put down the controller and pick up a guitar.

Of course I think that kid must be autistic or something.

To be honest man, if some one is being cocky, I dont want to play them at any game. I've got a good group of people I play with and for the most part it works out. In the rare cases where some are wildly better than the rest of us is about the only time playing can lose a lot of its fun. Times like those usually call for an match-making honor system unless we're teamed up against randoms.

As for the arrogants ones, they're going to be arrogant whether they're winning or losing. It's more of a personality trait than a question of actual skill.

Oh yeah, I'm usually down to play anything. Being as I'm a average player all around, it's not a big deal to me to switch games as long as I have it in my library.

I found this stack of flyers somewhere. I dont remember where.

Anyway, I'm a console and PC gamer. I'm known all over the internet as SmackmYackm. OK, maybe not all over the internet, but I do get around.

I've actually been thinking of making my own Oklahoma/midwest/Tulsa-centric website, but I find this place quite interesting. I can't wait to check out some of the events.
