Seeing as how this is a 2 day event, when exactly are the main fighting game tournaments being held?

2
I'll be there entering both games.

Well, Po had a great time, despite a less-than-stellar showing in the bracket, but that will change VERY shortly. Keep on Smashing, Tulsa! You guys got a lot of potential, and I'll be back sooner than you think, so BE READY!

Also, I know you're reading this thread: VEGAFUSE! COME BACK TO SMASH!! WE NEED YOUR SANDBAGGING WAYS!!!
I still practice for tournaments, but tulsa is just too far away in relation to my skill :(

it aint easy getting ahead of the pack

hoping finals for both games will be recorded....

Ha, an all-around gaming tournament? I've thought of hosting something like this once, but I didn't think anyone would be interested. I'll cook up a line-up suggestion later, though either way i'd smoke the competition  8)

Kai is Kaillera, yeah? If so, no, I don't game online :( I have known other Armored core players in Oklahoma, but I doubt they still play the series.

Ha, I love Armored Core! I play AC3, 9B, and LR the most.

Seems like this was an amazing tournament (Great work, Saif and crew!). Can't wait for the match vids!

Thanks for addressing this on smashboards, SP.

okwiffle, I'm glad to see more Melee attention. A successful turnout in OKC is usually guaranteed, though many smash players play with a widely accepted refined ruleset (which I'll post later if everyone else is too lazy). For starters, the basics should be:

*items off
*4-stock
*7 minutes
*2 out of 3 in sets, 3 out of 5 in finals
*double elimination

Also, make sure it's just "1vs1", stay faaaar away from Free-For-Alls......

Hey, count me in ^_^ This tournament may just be the biggest SSBM event ever in Oklahoma, and I definitely don't want to miss out. Looks like Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, and maybe even Colorado are interested in going as well.

Any Tulsa players going? Micah? Undead_Penguin? Frenli Phyre? Tdizzle? XA's Crew?

Also, I might have a set-up for Streetfighter casual play for the SRKers...

By chance, does anyone still have the results for this monthly?

Hmm, I've been meaning to get into GNT4 competitively for a while, but I just never get around to practicing it :( I guess I'll start checking out willvolution.com for the basics.....

Though, if there are any more GNT4 events coming up, I'll try my best to show up and get schooled :)

Micah has a point.

I like your suggestions, X A, I think it's a great idea and can help give the other games some light under the sun. I'd like to see some more traditional fighters every once in a while, or maybe even some Armored Core (I love this series!). It's a shame that this upcoming monthly is on the 11th though, I won't be attending due to EvoSouth :(

Pre-register - Click here to go Pre-register Halo, we need those 16+4 setups. SSBM - WE WILL CANCEL THE TOURNAMENT IF WE DONT HAVE 2 SETUPS PRE-REGISTERED Smiley

Nice to see Melee making it! I didn't expect to see it get 11 votes, heck, I didn't even vote! Hopefully SSBM gets good representation over there, I want the Tulsa scene to leave a good impression, and have a reputation that tournament hosts can rely on ;) (that means BE SURE YOU GUYS VOLUNTEER THOSE 2 SET-UPS!!! I WANT TO GO NEXT MONTH!)
