Go check it out, looks to be the next in the zombie/survival horror genre.  It's a very well made trailer.

so i already must be a zombie, because everyone told me it was a great emotional trailer and i watched it and got bored and wondered when we would get to see gameplay

the premise certainly sounds interesting, but i would like to see it in action. unfortunately my soulless self is not touched by CGI trailers any longer

Eh, it was alright.

I'd like to see a bit more game play before I make any judgments on the game but the quasi-Memento format was a nice touch.

"Dead Island will feature open world gameplay, played from a first person perspective, with up to four-player co-operative play. The focus will be on melee combat, incorporating customizable weaponry and RPG elements.

There is an experience system and a skill tree system. There is also a stamina bar, meaning that after a set amount of action with a weapon, the character will need to stop to regain their stamina before continuing to attack. It has also been confirmed that there are "special class" zombies, which are more powerful than the standard enemies."

I love melee'ing in L4D2, and I love RPG elements.  Sounds like a POTENTIALLY good combination.  Let's hope they put it together well!

If the actual game can tug on the heart strings even half as much as that trailer, count me in. I love when a game can actually make me CARE what's going on.

I think I about died laughing when he threw the kid out the window.

Regardless, I am excited. I love zombie games and Dead Rising 2 wasn't long enough. :C
