no, private match and lan are two totally different things. private match is based on your gt and so is split screen. lan is not based on your gt. i used mine at the last tournament and started at 1, as my xbl gt is like 4th prestige level 30

Yea. Just go to splitscreen add a controller and play against second player. Dont go online. And when you set up the game play on dome snd. change the settings to time unlimited and lives unlimited

The map pool will be mostly GSL maps. Same for the tournament this Sunday. Which maps is not yet set in stone. It will likely be best of 3 and the loser picks next map. Double elimination depending on size of the tournament. I will give everyone a chance to veto maps or have a list of maps they do not want to play.

You must unlock classes in MW3 on a per profile/xbox basis. It's very time consuming to get everything unlocked AND THEN get the pro versions AND THEN get all attachments/proficiencies.
The makers of MW3 are trying to solve this issue via a patch or hotfix, but I wouldn't rely on that being fixed by the time of the tournament. The way we solve that issue in Arkansas is to have each team create their own default classes via the host 360's game settings. The entire team has to share 5 classes, but most people don't use more than 2-3 classes anyway. It unlocks EVERYTHING with the exception of the pro versions of perks which (I believe) have to be unlocked manually.

I used search and destroy because it will spawn the second player in front of you. Any gametype will give 50 points per kill. Just go for headshots with the weapons you want to upgrade and use the specialist killstreak for extra points.Then you get the m.o.a.b. for double xp.

AS FOR WHAT WAS REMOVED AS PROMISED, here are the overall responses to anything that wasn't replied to yet:

"SELL WATER THIS TIME" - This is a college; there are water fountains as well as vending machines all over.  That said, we'll have the Cafeteria solution open this time, so you'll have an entire convenience store level selection in the next room.


"Why not XX GAME AT THIS!"  First off, this isn't a REQUEST FORUM - this is an EVENTS FORUM; request events in the HYPE FORUM or the specific local players forum.  As for this event, too little, too late - if your game isn't included, it's cause it didn't get enough responses on the planning thread that was up for months.  Pro-Tip - if it doesn't have a Community Lead, chances of OKgamers being able to ever suggest it to a business or organizing it themselves?  Slim.


"WHAT ABOUT LOL!" For the last time: THERE IS NO COMMUNITY LEAD - until someone steps up and doesn't flake out, we can't really help you.  On top of that, we need to make sure SC2 pans out.  If it does, we'll look at future LoL events; but for it to succeed we'll need a LEAD.


"WHY NO 4v4" - we'll assume you are referring to one of the FPS games   Why?  We compare attendance and interest from events all over OK - 2v2 see's more attendance, so we've focused on 2v2.  Pure and simple - that's what the Community Lead has found.


"WHY DID YOU CLEAN UP THE POSTS" - we had a whole page+ worth's of registration requests, OFF TOPIC "add a game", or something already covered; we want to keep it usable for those that'll try and read it all!
