So, fighters, any thoughts on whether this is actually worth what they say?

Wow - that's...  Pretty cool actually.  Steep price for now, but man -  cool.

I know we will carry them. Just have to wait until they can actually be ordered.

What sucks is Europe has a decent D-pad on their Xbox controllers already. MS made one for them but not us/U.S :P

Price wise they aren't that bad really. It costs no more than the Red Controller that came with the battery and charging cable. Sure, I probably won't buy one but, yeah...

why does it need to transform from a bad d pad into what we will presume is a good one

why doesnt it just have a good one and not come with a plug n charge, save 15-20 dollars

That seems kinda retarded considering most people have fightsticks already and would still use one over that...

I have thought about getting the XCM Cross Fire Converter. I havnt read alot of reviews but id rather use a ps3 controller rather than a 360 controller.

Yeah, thats nifty, i suppose. But anyone who is serious about fighters would go get another controller, they would probably save a little extra for the fight-stick.

or not because fightsticks aren't a necessity to play fighters.

or not because fightsticks aren't a necessity to play fighters.

...a necessity to play all fighters.

I'd say most SF players I've talked to feel it just might be.

Where other fighters, or even within fighters like Soul Calibur - have different options, some good with pad, some not.

In SC - a versatile Taki or "A+K"/Button~Roll using character can be harder to play on a pad, while Hilde with her charges - BANNED - or a basic X or Mitsu can be played easily with a d-pad.

As for Xbox only fighters - plenty of DOA "hardcore" used the pad - so it's not that all fighters require them or not; there are definitely some who seem to, and some who just don't need it at all.

uh no Taki is pretty easy on pad my friend. A+K is a good dedicated button to have.
