OK.. got a pizza sponsorship.. so we are covered on food and drinks.. which will be free while supplies last. No reason not to come.. You got food covered which we will have every 3 hours .. plenty of beverages.. guaranteed 1000 dollar pot.

BRING HALO REACH AT MINIMUM. Please bring Reach. I do not want to have down time due to someone leaving and taking their Reach. EVERYONE BRING REACH.

I hope i'm clear on this.

This is not confirmed but we are wanting to use pool play at this tournament. How will it work? Well so far we are sure on 12 teams coming. But to ensure time constraints we are going to have 4 pools of 3 that would team slayer as the only gametype.

Why pool play? There is so much money on the line and we dont want teams that are traveling far to just have 2 matches that get played and then they are out... Also pool play will make it to where teams get more then 2 loses and still have a chance to win the tournament.

Who will be in what pool? Based on hxc league points top teams are Vicous and Delicous, Team Shoot (Oklahomies), Elmos team, and Amps team.

Those teams would be separated between 4 pools A, B, C, D. Whomever wins there pool will advance to championship bracket. NOTE Every round you drop is counted so if you are 3-0 in pool A but a team one a map against you it will make your team 3-0 wins 4-1 on maps play, Advancing winner (example) pool B who didnt drop any maps 3-0 wins 4-0 on maps.. Confused? Ill help.. fire with questions!

I don't know if it's just me Timmy, but that last paragraph didn't make much sense. I'll try explaining it.

Like he said there will be 4 pools of 3 (based on a 12 team turnout). All the teams in the same pool will play each other. All of the gametypes in POOL PLAY ONLY will be slayer to make it go by faster. The single team with the best record will automatically be put into Winners Bracket Semifinals. So after all 4 pools have played all there games there will be 4 teams in the Winners Bracket Finals and the other 8 teams will be placed into the Losers Bracket based on how many games they won/lost in pool play. One loss in Losers Bracket and you will be done. The games that in bracket play will be Slayer, Flag, Slayer like usual.

IF there is a tie in a pool then the team who had the most kills in ALL of the matches would be the winner

Example:

Team A plays Team B and wins 50-41
Team B plays Team C and wins 50-39
Team C plays Team A and wins 50-48

Therefore all teams have a record of 1-1

Team A's combined kills would be 98
Team B's combines kills would be 91
Team C's combined kills would be 89

Team A would get the win for that specific pool.

This is why it is important to document the scores for every game during pool play. So Timmy, if you're to do pool play it is very important that you write down scores before the next game starts. If you don't do this and there's a tie you will have a mess on your hands.

If I missed anything let me know and I can answer or correct anything.

About right but that would be the third step.. what I meant was like if

Team A from pool 1 goes undefeated and didnt drop a single map they are going to be #1 in the championship bracket.

But there will be a tie.. there will be other teams from other pools that go undefeated then yes combined kills will eliminate that issue.

The step before will be games dropped example Team B from pool 2 is undefeated but dropped a game. making them 3-0 in their pool but 6-1 in gametypes.

I would just be worried that we wouldn't have enough time to be able to finish everything if we did pool play.  I really don't think we could get it all done.  I like the idea behind it, so everyone could play more but I just cant see us finishing before 4am.

Your right viper. Which is why we prolly wont do it. If we do we would have to split screen pool play. All team slayer. 4 games going at once should get it done quick.. IDK i'm been playing with the metrics of it all day. We will see.

if ur trying to do pool play so those who are traveling hrs can get more games in so they dont get knocked out in two games. They should know that coming in to the tourney thats always the same situation of a local tournament...U lose 2 series your OUT ...you shouldnt confort those if thier traveling far since they think they can ease through the tourney .
