After a short hiatus following the Season 3 finale, Oklahoma’s League of Legends competitive scene is making a comeback even bigger and better than before.
GetRECt, the organization created by Jack “JackLovesLamp” Counts and Alex “AgentA2” Tu, has expanded its team to help support the growing OKLCS. OKLCS Season 3 boasted a record 25 teams across three capped divisions – that’s 125 people PLUS SUBS that competed last split alone. Joining Jack, Alex and Shaedon “Shastor15” Castor are:
Ariel “Aripanda” West, Community Manager
Zach “Smooths” Lewis, Discord Management/Website Management
Brandon “Leeroy” Williams, Opinion Writer/Event Coverage
Thomas “Shacdaddy” Arata, Analyst
Charles “Sutanrii” Stanley, Shoutcaster/Highlight Video Production
Nick “Tasty Nubbinz” Yacovazzi, Shoutcaster
Connor “Naked Beekeeper” Chappell, Special Projects
Identical to last split, OKLCS Season 4 will offer Gold-, Platinum- and Diamond-capped divisions for teams interested in competing. The cost to enter the split is $125 per team ($25 per starting player), and payment is due July 28. Captains of each team are responsible for submitting the registration form for their team and collecting payment to send to Jack Counts via Venmo.
“With the continual expansion of the OKLCS, as well as a large desire from a number of people to provide support, we saw a unique opportunity to not only involve more members of the community but also to output more OKLCS content under the GetRECt banner,” Alex said. “We feel confident that the team we’ve put together will act professionally and produce quality work that we can be proud of.
“As for Season 4, I can only hope that the teams will grow in both number and competitiveness. We’ve streamlined and made quality improvements to some of the ways that the regular season should progress as well as made contacts that should reduce the number of hiccups during playoffs and help us achieve more publicity and excitement. The recent Microsoft Store Draft Event and Tokyo in Tulsa tournament have really reignited my passion for League of Legends casting, and I hope that I can continue to perform satisfactorily to the community in that regard.”
To register for Season 4 of the OKLCS, fill out this form* with your full team roster by July 28.
