League of Legends 1v1 Virtual Tournament

It is time to break out those computers to join the Student Union Activities Board and Gamers of OSU on September 26th at 1pm to play League of Legends in our 1v1 Virtual ESports Tournament. This event is open to everyone! Do you think you have what it takes to win first place? To register for this tournament, sign up at www.tinyurl.com/SUABesports. The GRLCS is a 12 week League of Legends tournament. The first 7-10 weeks are a round robin with best of 3 matches, and the final two weeks are playoffs (quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals). The tournament is split into several divisions, based on solo queue and flex queue rank, that each compete separately from one another. These divisions are the Gold, Platinum and Diamond Divisions. At the end of each week of play, GetRECt volunteers shoutcast one game from each match that occurred during the week.

  • Entry Fee: $155 per team

  • Prize Pool:

    • Gold Division: $95 per team ($1520 @16 teams)

    • Platinum Division: $110 per team ($1760 @16 teams)

    • Diamond Division: $125 per team ($2000 @16 teams

  • Registration starts on January 5th at 8:00 a.m. and ends January 30th at 11:30 p.m.
  • Regular Season starts February 1st and ends April 11th.
  • Quarterfinals start April 11th and end April 19th.

Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

$10 entry fee per player. Pay on-site.
A NYGExpo weekend pass is required in addition to the tournament entry fee.

Points Tournament (1st place = 8 points, 2nd place = 7 points, etc)
All hardware and peripherals are provided, BYO peripherals is allowed.
Player Cap = 16
11 a.m. – Random 8
12 p.m. – Other 8
1 p.m. – Bottom 8 (by points)
2 p.m. – Top 8 (by points)

Typical tournament rules apply.
Players must behave according to the Summoner’s Code both in-game and out.
In the instance that less than 16 players enter, the player pool will be split in half to ensure an equal (or close to equal) number of random players are present for each match.
