Join us for board games at the Microsoft Store in Penn Square Mall. The Microsoft Store has a special, semi-private area with tables and chairs in the back half of the store that will be reserved for us.
In addition, with Microsoft’s help, we will provide free refreshments (soda, water, cookies, etc). There is a restroom for our use in the store, and you can bring external food in as well.
We’ll be playing all kinds of great games. From fun social games like Codenames and Resistance to strategy games like Splendor, Settlers of Catan and King of Tokyo, there’s something for everyone.
At this event, we’ll also be making available a bunch of abstract games for you to play or learn. Abstract games are pure strategy games—chess is the most famous. Recently Go has become famous with a computer beating a top-level human player for the first time. But there are other, modern abstract games too, like Hive, Onitama and The Duke. Come out and try one!
You can feel free to drop in any time.
