Tokyo in Tulsa is happening Friday, July 14 – Sunday, July 16 at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa. This fan convention focuses on Japanese anime and pop culture as well as gaming… lots and lots of gaming! Powered by GameStop, don’t miss our tournaments for all your favorite console gaming titles including Halo 5, Call of Duty, Smash Bros 4 and Melee, Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7 and Injustice 2. All fighting game events will be on Saturday.
If you’re just looking for some free play, try your hand at some the hottest games like Star Fox Zero, Mario Kart 8, Just Dance 2017, Overwatch and many more.
Looking to kick it old school and relive the golden age of consoles? You’re in luck! We’ve got retro gaming stations including the Famicom, NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64 and Game Cube, just to name a few.

We’ve got Pokemon Go competitions with prizes for the best snapshot of Pokemon you see at the event, and for the the team that holds the gym on Saturday.
Friday, check out a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering as well as a Tavern Hero Qualifier at the Microsoft area of Exhibit Hall C. Then, Saturday, there will be Nintendo 3DS fun with Pokemon Sun and Moon, Metroid Prime Hunters and a StreetPass meetup.
Japanese Gaming & Arcade
Looking for something different than what you have at home? This year’s video gaming area will have an even bigger focus on popular titles straight from Japan! With short-session, pick-up-and-play console and arcade cabinet games, you’ll feel like you’re in a Japanese game center.
We’ve got a multiplayer HD taiko drum master setup, 1 v 1 Gundam LAN, Hatsune Miku platformer and Hello Planet, to name a few. This is an experience you won’t find anywhere else!
PC LAN
Bring your own PC this weekend for an epic-sized LAN party like you’ve never seen before.
Plus, League of Legends is celebrating its fifth year of Oklahoma competition. Teams of five are invited to sign up for the uncapped and plat-capped tournaments featuring over $2,000 in bonus cash and prizes. Games will be streamed both online and on the projector so you can watch all the action live.
Tabletop
Tabletop gamers and those curious about the tabletop scene, come check out the extensive library of board games, as well as demos for war games like Warhammer 40k, Infinity and Battletech.
Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder are running sessions all weekend for both new and veteran role players alike.
Bonus: We can’t talk tabletop without giving a shout out to two locally-made games that will be featured. Don’t miss demos for Battle for the Universe and Heritage: The Legacy.

LARP
We’ve got live action role play too! Dystopia Rising, Supernatural, Werewolf and 7th Sea will all have you fighting off monsters and mysterious forces to keep us all safe. Plus, there’s an escape room experience you won’t want to miss.
